The Wilner saga, begun in Liberation, continues. Miki Wilner was killed while covering the Yom Kippur War, but not before having met, on a visit to Montreal, and later married a beautiful medical student, Mireille Bouchard, with whom he fathered a son, Daniel, and a posthumous daughter, Betty. Permission follows some six years in the lives of Mireille and Daniel (and, marginally, Betty), beginning when Daniel is fifteen and ending with a shocking revelation. |
