NO HAGO OTRA COSA QUE PENSAR EN TI (ALL I EVER DO IS THINK OF YOU)

Music and lyrics by Joan Manuel Serrat

Well, all I ever do is think of you...
To make it known and just to give you pleasure,
I took some paper and a pen, and strewed
Around the table your most loving treasures.

I tried to find a song, but found no clue
Among a pile of words that were just humming.
Well, all I ever do is think of you
And I still feel nothing coming.

I light a cigarette and then one more...
One of these days I really should be taking
Steps to stop smoking, since my throat gets sore;
I also get that cough when I awaken.

I looked up to the sky to be inspired
And I was left with that old let-down feeling.
In fact, a coat of paint is what’s required
To be put up on the ceiling.

I looked outside and my mind ran away:
A girl passed on her bike, with me pursuing.
A neighbor also led my mind astray,
Though scratch his head was all that he was doing.

Well, all I ever do is think of you...
Songwriting is my favorite occupation,
But now the muses seem to have passed through.
Must be going on vacation...
