Lakshman Jhula Bridge

The Lakshman Jhula bridge was built during the years of 1927 and 1928 in Rishikesh, India. It was the first suspension bridge in the state of Uttar Pradesh that could carry vehicular traffic (jeeps).

My grandfather, Avadh Narain, served as an assistant engineer on the project (dedication plaque).
